TRV is a temporary resident status to people coming to Canada who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents who can request to enter as a visitor, student or worker. When they enter Canada they are given temporary resident status for a limited period of time. Also, it is referred to as a ‘visitor’s visa’ or ‘entry visa’, this document is placed in your passport and used to enter or re-enter Canada. A valid TRV will provide permission to return to Canada following a trip and is often issued for the same length of time as a study permit/work permit.
